Ysaye Zamore is a disaster and emergency preparedness planner for the City of Philadelphia's Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services. 

 

She studied psychology and sociology in undergrad and got her Master’s in International Disaster Psychology from the University of Denver.

 

Ysaye led the FEMA Crisis Counseling Program implementation in Boulder, Colorado after the 2013 floods. She has taught Psychological First Aid to local communities and is currently working with the Network of Neighbors Responding to Violence, Philadelphia’s Trauma Response Network, to bring trauma-informed group interventions to Philadelphia’s neighborhoods.

 

Ysaye is currently working on developing a Disaster Behavioral Health scope of work to guide behavioral health responders in their practice and to help clarify the role of behavioral health responders in emergency response.
